Just because the excess solar generated by your home is tiny you should receive the same wholesale market rates that the big generators earn.
As part of a trial being run by Kainga Ora, Paua to the People have recently developed the capability to sell the excess solar energy that panels export to the grid without being involved in the supply of electricity to the home. Seperating out your generation enables you to choose the retailer with the best offer that you want to supply your home without worrying about the often inadequate solar buyback rates.

Paua to the People is the only retailer currently offering this service and we had to get permission from the Electricity Authority to do so.
